NEXT TOP SPEAKER TOURNAMENT — TERMS & CONDITIONS

Introduction

The Next Top Speaker Tournament is created to provide a platform for speakers to compete, grow, and learn from each other while sharing powerful messages with the world. This is more than just a competition — it’s a transformational experience to be seen, heard, and celebrated.

By registering for and participating in this event, I (“the Participant”) agree to the following Terms and Conditions:

1. Commitment to Participation

I confirm my full commitment to attend and actively participate in the entire tournament event, from start to finish. I understand that punctuality, presence, and engagement are essential to the tournament experience for all attendees.

2. Judging and Outcomes

I acknowledge and respect the decisions made by the judges. I understand that judging outcomes are based on a range of professional considerations and criteria. These results may not always reflect my personal expectations, but I accept that they are final and not a reflection of my value, character, or potential as a speaker.

3. Media Consent and Usage

I grant NEXT TOP SPEAKER PTY LTD full permission to record, photograph, and otherwise capture my image, voice, and performance throughout the event. I understand and consent to this footage being used for:

Marketing and promotional purposes

Coaching and training content

Educational materials and public presentations

I acknowledge that these videos and materials may be shared across various online and offline platforms, including but not limited to websites, social media, digital campaigns, live events, and printed publications.

I release NEXT TOP SPEAKER PTY LTD from any liability arising from the use of such media.

4. Intellectual Property

I understand and agree that while I retain full ownership of the content and stories I personally create and share during the tournament, all footage, recordings, and media captured by NEXT TOP SPEAKER PTY LTD during the event — including video, audio, and images — may be used by the company under an unlimited, royalty-free, worldwide, and perpetual license.

This license allows NEXT TOP SPEAKER PTY LTD to use, edit, reproduce, publish, and distribute the captured material for marketing, coaching, educational, and promotional purposes in any format or medium, now known or later developed. I waive any claim to royalties or compensation arising from such use.

5. Professional Conduct & Non-Disparagement

I agree to maintain a spirit of professionalism, encouragement, and respect toward fellow participants, judges, sponsors, and event organizers.

I also agree not to make, publish, or share any false, defamatory, misleading, or negative statements — publicly or privately, online or offline — about the Next Top Speaker Tournament, NEXT TOP SPEAKER PTY LTD, its team, sponsors, partners, or affiliated events.

Violation of this clause may result in disqualification, legal action, and permanent exclusion from future events.

6. Indemnity & Responsibility

I acknowledge that NEXT TOP SPEAKER PTY LTD is solely providing a platform for speakers to share their stories and insights. As a participant, I take full responsibility for the content, claims, and delivery of my speech.

I understand and agree that:

I am personally liable for the accuracy and impact of my presentation.

I must ensure that all statements made are truthful, evidence-based, and not misleading.

I must not provide medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice unless I am appropriately qualified and licensed to do so.

I am strongly encouraged to maintain personal indemnity insurance to cover any potential risks or liabilities arising from my participation.

By participating, I agree to indemnify and hold harmless NEXT TOP SPEAKER PTY LTD, its directors, staff, partners, and affiliates from any claims, losses, or damages that may result from my speech, actions, or conduct during the event.

7. Marketing Use of Personal Information

I understand that by registering, my contact details (including name, email address, and social media handles) may be used by NEXT TOP SPEAKER PTY LTD and its official sponsors and partners for marketing, promotional, and communication purposes.

I may opt out of receiving communications at any time by unsubscribing or contacting the team directly.

8. Prize Terms & Publicity Requirements

I understand that any prize(s) listed for the tournament are discretionary, subject to change, and not guaranteed. NEXT TOP SPEAKER PTY LTD reserves the right to substitute or amend the nature, value, or timing of the prize at its sole discretion. All decisions are final.

The purpose of the cash prize is to encourage and celebrate the speaker’s growth and contribution, and it is offered as a discretionary gift, not a form of employment, service payment, or financial compensation.

If I am selected as a winner:

I agree to take a photo and video with the provided prop cheque (for publicity purposes), and I grant NEXT TOP SPEAKER PTY LTD an unlimited, royalty-free, worldwide, and perpetual license to use, edit, and distribute that content across any platform or format for marketing, promotional, and educational purposes.

I agree to publish at least one post on my personal Facebook account, publicly acknowledging the win and tagging any official handles as instructed.

If I receive the prize via bank transfer, I understand that:

The amount received in my local currency may vary, and will be determined by our bank’s exchange rate at the time of transfer.

I am fully responsible for any tax obligations that may arise in my country or jurisdiction.

9. Organiser’s Right to Modify or Disqualify

I acknowledge and accept that NEXT TOP SPEAKER PTY LTD reserves the right to modify any aspect of the tournament at its sole discretion — including but not limited to the event date, time, structure, speech topics, prize amount, winner announcements, judging criteria, or any other element.

NEXT TOP SPEAKER PTY LTD also reserves the right to disqualify any participant who violates these terms, fails to follow event instructions, or behaves in a way that undermines the integrity of the event.

All such decisions are final and not subject to dispute.

10. Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this tournament shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

11. Final Acknowledgement

By registering for the tournament, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agreed to all the above terms and conditions. I understand that failure to comply may result in disqualification, forfeiture of prizes, or exclusion from future events hosted by NEXT TOP SPEAKER PTY LTD.
